[0:00] Hello, this is Sky. I'll be here with you until sleep. You don't need to listen closely. You can drift off whenever you like. There's nothing to get right tonight.
[0:32] For now, just let yourself be held by the sound of my voice. Let's begin. Before anything else tonight, we can begin by gently putting the day down. Not all at once just little by little sometimes the day lingers in small ways a thought that hasn't quite finished a feeling that's still moving through.
[1:36] Something said or not said. And you don't need to untangle any of that right now. You can imagine placing the day somewhere beside you, not pushing it away, just setting it down for a while. It will still be there in the morning but for now it doesn't need your attention.
[2:31] Your body might still be catching up. Sometimes it takes a little longer than the mind to realize the day is over. So there's no rush.
[2:57] You can begin to notice the simple fact that you are here now resting. Maybe there's a sense of the surface beneath you. The quiet of the room. The feeling of being held, even just a little. You don't need to listen closely. You can let my voice move in and out, like something distant and steady. And from here, we can begin to soften.
[4:09] And I invite you to sink a little bit deeper into your bed. I invite you to meet yourself just that tiny bit more comfortable. Whatever you might need to do to adjust or move, making yourself just the smallest bit more comfortable.
[5:03] Now, preparing and allowing even more to drift into sleep, knowing there is nothing else for you to do. Nowhere else for you to go. Anything that was not finished today can wait until tomorrow. Because, dear one, no matter what we do or don't do, the world continues to spin.
[6:09] The sun comes up, the sun goes down. The moon comes up, the moon goes down. As it spins around this planet. And this planet spins around through space. Everything flowing and moving. The grass keeps growing.
[6:54] The new babies are born. They grow older and go off on their own. The flowers bloom and then they wilt, and the seed pods come after the flowers and still the world spins, no matter what we have done or not done what we've accomplished, what we've not accomplished.
[7:47] In the end, it all becomes part of the past. But here we are now, in this moment.
[8:09] Sinking ever deeper into this moment, into a place of rest and relaxation. And dear ones, I'd like to tell you a story. About sitting somewhere still by a lake. I'm going to describe to you what I'm seeing, what I'm sensing, what I'm feeling. We'll try something different tonight. So just now, I'm sat on a bench, a wooden bench.
[9:27] That is quite weathered because it's outside. This bench witnesses all the rain and the wind and the sun, and the cold and the warm. And as I run my hand over the sea, the wood feels smooth.
